A Newfoundland & Labrador firm

People for the work that keeps this province going.

We recruit for care homes, hospitals, hotels, and growing NL employers—then stay with the systems around the hire: HR, time, and pay.

“We do not hire from a mainland playbook. We hire for shift work, winter roads, tight labour pools, and the people who already live here.”

01Recruit

Permanent placement with shortlists that survive a real NL schedule.

02Retain

HR, policy, and stay-work so the same roles stop coming open.

03Track

Time and attendance that reaches payroll without a Friday scramble.

04Pay

Payroll administration and a clean path off cheques onto direct deposit.

Why ATP

A practice, not a vendor stack.

Coverage, documentation, and payday cannot slip. Recruitment, HR, timekeeping, and payroll should reinforce each other—especially in care and hospitality, where the next shift is already on the board.

01

This labour market is the work

Smaller teams, regional pools, and seasonal swings are not edge cases here. They are the brief.

02

Care-sector fluency

Personal care homes, senior care, and healthcare staffing—coverage, credentials, and documentation included.

03

Less administrative drag

Fewer missing punches, late approvals, and last-minute payroll fixes. Managers get time back.

04

Start with one need

A single hire, a policy refresh, or a connected workforce package. Scope is written before work begins.

The practice

Support across the employee journey.

Use one service for a specific gap, or bring several together so hiring, HR, time, and pay stay in the same conversation.

01

Recruitment & permanent placement

Role scoping, sourcing, screening, and a shortlist you can actually interview.

Typically for: permanent or hard-to-fill roles in care, hospitality, and administration.

  • Clear role brief
  • Screened, schedule-ready candidates
  • Structured feedback through offer
02

HR services

Day-to-day guidance, onboarding, files, and performance processes—without a full-time HR desk.

Typically for: organizations with no HR team, or teams that need overflow.

  • Consistent onboarding and files
  • Practical manager coaching
  • Clearer documentation trails
03

Employee retention

Find why people leave, then put stay conversations and manager playbooks where they count.

Typically for: care homes and hospitality operators with repeat vacancies.

  • Turnover drivers, named
  • Stay conversations
  • Retention tied to hiring cost
04

Policy creation

Readable workplace policies written for how your operation actually runs.

Typically for: growing teams closing handbook or documentation gaps.

  • Policies managers will use
  • Attendance, conduct, leave
  • Orientation-ready versions
05

Payroll processing

Organized inputs, review checkpoints, and coordination with your provider.

Typically for: employers who want reliable pay-run admin without adding headcount.

  • Cleaner inputs each cycle
  • Fewer last-minute fixes
  • Provider coordination
06

Payroll provider matching

Compare setups that fit headcount, pay cycle, and budget—then plan the cutover.

Typically for: teams outgrowing spreadsheets, cheques, or a mismatched system.

  • Shortlist by size and cycle
  • Fee and fit comparison
  • Manager and employee transition
07

Direct deposit

Move off cheques to a consistent electronic payday with records that match payroll.

Typically for: employers still issuing cheques or mixed payment methods.

  • Banking setup and comms
  • Fewer replacements and pickups
  • Payment records tied to pay
08

Time & attendance

Clock-in, digital timesheets, manager approvals, and exception tracking before payday.

Typically for: shift-based care and hospitality teams.

  • Fewer missing punches
  • Approvals before payroll
  • Timesheet-ready each cycle

Pipeline reviewCandidate progress, follow-ups, and next interviews.
Manager supportPractical answers and documentation, not a ticket queue.
Timekeeping exceptionsMissing punches, overtime flags, timesheet readiness.
Payroll preparationOrganized inputs and provider coordination.
Process repairSpot repeat issues and simplify the workflow.
Direct deposit & payroll

A cleaner payday for everyone.

Direct deposit replaces cheque runs with a consistent electronic process. ATP can match a provider, plan the rollout, and keep approved hours connected to pay.

Still on cheques? We will size a provider to your headcount and write a cutover managers can actually follow.

Typical path

  1. Assess — pay method, banking, employee readiness.
  2. Match — providers sized to cycle and budget.
  3. Enrol — forms, comms, and cutover dates.
  4. Stabilize — first-run support and exception notes.
01Less handling

Reduce cheque prep, distribution, tracking, and replacements.

02Reliable access

Employees receive pay without a pickup window.

03Clearer records

Payment details stay connected to payroll reporting.

04Easier to scale

A repeatable process for more people, sites, and runs.

05Timekeeping alignment

Approved hours feed payroll with fewer surprises.

06Manager confidence

Named dates, checklists, and who to call when something looks off.

FAQs

Straight answers before we start.

Need something more specific? Tell us where the process is getting stuck.

Can we use ATP for only one service?
Yes. Begin with permanent recruitment, policy work, provider matching, or a timekeeping review. Services combine later if the operation needs it.
What is a connected package?
Related services under one brief—recruitment plus onboarding, or timekeeping plus payroll prep—so information does not restart with each vendor. Scope is still written clearly.
Do you specialize in healthcare and senior care?
Yes. Healthcare, senior care, and personal care homes are the primary focus. We also support tourism, hospitality, and other small to mid-sized NL employers.
Can ATP process our payroll?
ATP can support payroll administration and recurring preparation. The exact workflow depends on your team, current provider, and the level of support you need.
What if we do not use direct deposit?
We can review the current process, match a suitable provider, and plan a transition that is clear for managers and employees.
Do we have to replace our payroll system?
Not necessarily. We start with what works. The recommendation may be to tighten the current workflow, add timekeeping, or compare other providers.
How do recruitment fees work?
Fees depend on the role and agreed service. Use the Recruitment Fee calculator for a planning estimate, then ask ATP for a proposal.
Are the calculator results a quote?
No. They are planning estimates based only on the numbers you enter—not payroll, tax, legal, or service quotes.
How quickly can we get started?
Timing depends on urgency and scope. Many focused engagements begin after a short discovery call and a written plan. Use the urgency field so we can prioritize.
Do you work outside the Avalon region?
Yes. ATP supports employers across Newfoundland & Labrador. Include your location so we can plan communication and any on-site needs realistically.
